My buddy works at a Stihl dealer and sent me the pic. He said the new homeowner trimmers all say the same thing.:frown:

Uhhmmm, I'm a HUGE STIHL head, think of it this way, Homeowner crap is okay to be built in china, They weren't designed to take a beating anyways. Their homeowner junk. Now the Good Pro stuff ain't made in china. Stihl is probably just trying to save a few bucks buy having some equipment made in china.

I'm okay with it. Now if STIHL starts making all their stuff in china, I will for sure become a Husky head.

Good luck
and Get 'er Done.

Trimmers, hedge clippers,.........vaccummm suckers,..................................

CHAINSAWS. Slowly but surely creeping it's way to a Stihl dealer near you, evil FORIEGN products.

Oh no, what to do.

Wait patiently for Indian made Husqvarnas.

This has to be some sort of sick joke :dizzy: No way in heck would Stihl goe commy red on us.

Stihl opened a plant over there a fair while ago now it is no secret and was well publicised. It is no different to what any other brand are doing, At least they are in control of the quality of the product that they put out not like husky where they just send the dies over and the company that makes the saws for them then makes more saws off the same dies with no quality controls and undersells the parent company using their "real" stickers. All of the major players have been getting parts manufactured over there for years and even quite a bit of the assembly work done.

Wouldn't surprise me if they already were made in india. They have looked like they are for years.

They'll be getting the pro die castings and plastic parts molded in China first thing you know and then assembled in Germany?

Will be like my Echo. . . . It says assembled in USA. Who knows where the parts were made.

Well......remember now, gents....you're NOT supposed to consider yourself a resident/citizen of a 'country', nor to consider the products you buy/use as made in any given 'country' but, rather, just made somewhere else in the global consortium of 'nation-states'....

the problem is,there are WAY more homeowners than "pros".words spreads faster in a bigger crowd.most cannot differentiate between hi end and lo end producys and will simply bunch ALL stihs together, making it seem ALL new stihls are built in china.

Thanks for your input nerf. I was just posting a picture for all of those who needed to see it to believe it.

This fact has never been denied. So, unless you are trying to goad the anti-sino sentiment, I don't understand the point of your post.

If you want to get into name calling, I can get my 7 year old to go a round with you.
