Northern Indiana weather forcast for next week saying a high of -5 on Tuesday. I know for some of you folks that normal but for Indiana that freezing!...literally. oh well it will probably thunderstorm on Wednesday and be in the 50's. Typical Indiana weather. this weekend I better get off my butt and get a tad more wood in the basement! -Stay Warm!

When I went to HS (in the 80s), the school was a campus that you walked between buildings. -10 was when they would cancel...never quite got there when I was in school, but we've hit every few years since.

Weird coming up -- blizzard Thu/Fri here, with Friday's high of 12 and low of -5. Then by Sunday evening they're predicting rain...with a high of 44 on Monday. Then a low of 16 that night. Talk about a roller coaster.

Going to get pretty cold here too first of the week. Lows could be below zero for a couple of days. I don't mind the cold weather, just don't like the wind that usually comes with it. Tomorrow we are supposed to get 1-3" of snow and 35mph gusts so a wind chill of almost zero.

The only possible good of all this -5+ BS is that we might be setting back the bugs.

Coldest winter of my life, and we're just getting started.

This cold has sure put a damper on my workload. We have a lot to do but doing it when it's 10 degrees and blowing like hell just isn't productive.
Worst part is that EVERYTHING we have on the books is outside work... grrrr

I cant even imagine it being that cold!!!!

Well man... if'n ya'd like to stop imagining and start experiencing...
Just head on over this way, spend the weekend and have a couple beers with me... both Sunday and Monday night look to be getting down close to that by sunup. Probably won't hit -30°, but it will be somewhere south of -20°.

We hit it alright. -33 below without the windhill this morning, less than -40 with the wind. Cold enough to freeze my hydronic baseboard pipes somewhere in the house!

Whitespider said: I'm gonna' tell you just how friggin' cold it really is here...
On my way in to work this mornin' I saw a lawyer walkin' into the court house... and he had his hands in his own pockets‼
ROFL!!!

That about the best one I heard in a very long time. Thanks for the laugh Spidey. Northern Europe experiences the warmest winter in a long time this season. On the other hand the last 3 winters we had was very cold with wind in the NE corner coming from Russia.
Seem like when the jetstream bulges down i America it retracts upwards in Europe. Now we are plagued with 5°C and a drisle now and then to keep everything nice wet and muddy. Rather have some frost and sunshine instead of this grey puddle.
Keep the fire going over there lads!

I have to agree, Motorsen. I'd rather have snow and cold in the winter instead of 35° with rain and mud. A fella can only handle gray and cloudy for so long. I can do things on frozen ground, mud, not so much.

Yikes we pruned trees until -15c. It was -33 last night windchill -45. Been a deep freeze since Halloween. -16c today had to unzip parka....sweatin.
