Hey guys just wondering why my old saws like my Husqvarna 65 and 181 have bigger clutches than my 555 and 372. The old clutches look huge.

To keep the weight down, no point having a larger clutch if It's not needed.

Kinda like how everything old was over engineered, could be that.

Husqvarna latest clutch patent emphasizes weight and size.

Thanks guys i thought it may have something to do with power delivery but I was just guessing. I figured the bigger clutch put more power on the chain?
