Are you making it down? Beau to?

I (My Wife) have had plans that weekend, but the more people I see that are coming? And the fact that I have a saw someone wants me to bring? I may have to rearrange my plans....

I ran the 390 a friend wants me to bring just over a week ago. I would love to make it..

Now to smooth this over with Mama... This won't go over well. :buttkick:

I'm driving 8.5 hrs to Chelsea Iowa on April 25th to go to a GTG. You would think Ky would be a cake walk... Being my birthday weekend makes it difficult.

I don't under stand the 87 octane, why not 91-93 octane premium. I have seen a few pitted Pistons from 87 octane, and these were stock saws.

I run 87 non-ethanol at 32:1 exclusively in every two stroke I own, including my GTG play saws. One 372 has 225lbs of compression and turns God knows how many RPMs. Never had a single problem.

Sure it wasn't bad gas that killed em?

As for dead set rules....

Must use factory 385/390 jug. Either or...

Must use factory 385/390 boot.

Any carb.

Must run choke.

Must run factory air filter.

Must run factory style muffler. No expansion chambers, etc...

Remember these are work saws.

Will need to supply your own "new" 28" RSC chain.

Am I missing anything?

So no chain of choice?

I don't think Beau is going to make it. I will be there and I might even build a 385.
I have one of yer ported 385xpeez, frigin beast, had a ported 390 and sold it.

I wish I could get away and go, but 4 kids under 15 yrs old, got too much going on!!!

Good luck Joe!!! Chain makes a big difference, you need to keep chain the same to compare the saws, operator really counts too, Chad, can u send the dyno????

I "personally" would like to make my own chain. But that would put a lot of guys, like myself, at a disadvantage to some of the others.

I like RSC off the roll waaay better than I like Oregon.

Question.

When you say "new" do you mean untouched, off the roll chain?

Yep. And with this kinda dough up for grabs, they will be carefully looked at. ;)
