Because you'er saying I ripped him off by over charging for a used saw. And your assuming a farm & ranch saw cant cut the mustard and the guy didn't know what he was buying.

Just because your uncle had bad luck with a ms290 saw you assume there all bad saws.
I had a farm boss that cut over 1000 cords in 10 years of service and not once did it ever give me any issues.
In fact when I sold it 10 years later. it still had the original spark plug in it.
To each his own, I take it your not a stihl fan.

Ok man, I'm gonna come clean and tell you what my real problem is. See, the fact is, I wanted your saw and thought it was a steal priced at $500. I would have easily gave you twice that...yes, $1000 for that awesomeness of a machine that Stihl calls the Farm Boss. I'm pissed I missed out on the deal of the year. I might have even traded a half dozen Echo's for it but you probably would have declined because they can't compare to that jewel you had. If that didn't work, I might have offered you my truck in trade. But you probably wouldn't have excepted that either because your saw is in such high demand. I'm just gonna continue crying in my beer because I let this one go by. Well, live and learn I guess.

Haha I crack myself up. @sb47 , IF you did sell the saw for $500... Great, you got your price... But by you coming back and bragging and trying to insult... Just makes you come off like you're trying to prove soothing and that it seems less and less likely... Again, if you got your price, smile and be happy. Ya got what you wanted. If ya didn't, stick that tail back between your legs, walk away, and realize by you acting this way, is gonna make ppl never wanna buy from ya..

I didn't sell the Farm boss for 500 dollars, I sold the 391 for 500 dollars. Get your facts strait before you post.

Every stihl saw I have ever owned has preformed flawlessly, I have owned 5 of them and not one ever failed in any way. Plus they hold there resale value.
Stihl only sells there saws at MSRP. You can't buy one on sale, from anywhere or any dealer.
