My cousin @hseII ordered a CS 1201, and it showed up the day before the TN GTG. I had the chance to be the third person to run it right out of the box (I'm the one running it in the picture), and it handled the 50" 404 Cannon with ease.
That is a sweet saw John, you looked like you really enjoyed it.
When it was fired for the first time I was standing about 10-15' away, the ground was shaking :surprised3:(I'm not exaggerating), it was pretty cool:chainsaw:.
Wonder how much better it will run once broke in :).
I've spoken with Robin and based on his communications with me I wouldn't hesitate if I was in the market for any of the saws he has.

@leeha uncle did you notice the starter decal ? thats the 1st model, the clutch cover has kioritz written on it as opposed to just echo on the later models. its got different air filter as well. if you look at the filter picture above they are different. the 2nd model had just echo name on the starter decal with orange and yellow lines running above and below. finally the last ones for cs1201 are just plain echo wording.

cs1200 are limited not sure by ignition or carb, my dealer says carb and im guessing ignition. from what i can see cs1200 and 1201 carb looks the same. cs1201 are unlimited. the 1st model has bigger box like muffler which got updated on the 2nd model. gas tank was also changed on the 2nd model but might interchange throughout the models. both cs1200 had different clutch/carrier/drum assy, 4 piece clutch with 1 holding spring. in the ipl they offered full wrap for the cs1200
however it got discontinued for cs1201

these info's only as far as i know for these models

cs1200 had ignition issues so it didnt
have a long run, when they were getting discontinued and cs1201 were launched echo was kind enough to offer an upgrade kit which included cylinder kit, new coil type igniton compared to points/condensor, gas tank assy at a very low price. i was told it was around usd 200 at that time. the cylinder was the same internally but new ones had the bracket to hold the new coil. i'll take some pics from the early cs1200 that came for repair at dealers place if its still there when i go over the weekend
