My nephews m5140 kubota was stolen from the Murphy NC area Saturday Night. This is near the Tenn and Ga state lines, so the tractor could already be out of state. Not sure the year model, but tractor is only about 3 years old. Has 704 hrs on the meter.
I appreciate everybody being on the look out. Reward is being offered and you can contact the Cherokee County NC sheriff Department with any info. Phone: 828-837-1344

I hope for worse than that, but probably won't happen. Couple drunks hoped in a big Cat tractor attached to a disc/chisel plow thing and drove through everything for miles until they finally stuck in a creek and nothing happened as they were "juvenile's". Looked like a small community service slap on the hand from what I read in the court house news. Good luck in finding it!

Tractor has been found and thief caught. Turns out it was a dopehead that got tired of walking. He stole the tractor Sat night so he wouldnt have to walk home. He got to joy riding today and it ran out of fuel just a couple of miles from the State Highway Patrol headquarters. The Highway Patrol picked him up. Not only is the guy a thief, he's pretty stupid too.

I want to thank everyone for being on the look out and for your support.
Thank You

Sooo glad you guys got it back. Construction equipment targeted by organized theft rings. Local John Deere dealer had 7 Gators stolen few years ago.

To bad some one would not steal My bota, has 68 hours on it and scares the **** out of me.
To narrow for my non table top flat land.

:D Al

So were the keys left in or what? You said the guy they caught was a dopehead, which to me seems that you are inferring that he is some idiot that would not have a clue how to do anything other than turn a key to start it.

The law favours the criminals here. There's a court case going on at the moment where elderly man arrived home to find a man burgling his home. So he went for the shotgun hidden in the kitchen and fired a warning shot, the burglar tripped hurting his ankle from trying to get away. The cops arrived and arrested the elderly man for endangering the burglars life even though he fired the shot in the opposite direction and the burgler is now suing the man for his hurt ankle. Ironic isn't it

burglars and thieves need to be shot dead...no incarceration,,and no court time...end of problem...

Glad he got his tractor back, that is a very nice tractor. Dope heads and thieves are everywhere it's terrible.

Nephew said he took the keys out, that is the first question I asked him when I found out it had been stolen, so I dont know how the thief got it started. I havent talked to my nephew since last night when he was loading the tractor on the trailer to take it back home. What would be the odds the thief had a Kubota key in his pocket, unless he had planned on stealing it ahead of time??

I worry this every day, Tractor is pretty well concealed and 1/2 mile form the rd. Any one have security ideas? I don't live at the property but the property owner is protective and I trust everyone who has access to the property. Posted and patrolled signs all around the property.
