Is it a good saw ? One of my neighbors has one thats only used for firewood the past two seasons . He says its very clean and he would let me have it for $350. I already have a 60cc saw (MS360) , so how do the two compare?

I would buy it in a heartbeat. I'm not personally experienced with the ms360 .
I would imagine that the 562 is smoother, lighter, and stronger though. It never hurts to have an extra saw with you. Got any pictures of the saw? Get a picture of the tag/badge that will tell you the year and tell you the carb it has in it.

He supposed to call me when he gets home so I can go check it out. I've been wanting to try one of the XP saws anyway (I almost bought a 543). Wouldn't hurt me to keep some diversity going . I really don't hate Huskies, it's just a fun argument lol

Possibly the best designed dedicated chassis 60cc ever made. When it came out there was nothing on the market like it. Sure it had some issues but most have been ironed out and are solutions for. What year it is makes a difference. This is coming from someone who owns 2 husky saws out of about 30. If it starts well, runs well, hot restarts well & is half tidy its certainly not out of the ball park price wise. 562's are the kind of saw that's hard to pry out of an owners hand.

The el48 and el44 are the ok carbs. The el46 is the problem carb from what I hear. Mine with the el48 has been flawless.

I didn't get to go last night, we stayed at church too long. I asked him to text me a pic. I got it this morning, he says it's a 2015 saw . I'm headed over there this evening. I have to admit, it's not Orange and gray, but I like how the silver and Orange look together.

I wonder what he did with the flippy cap?
It doesn't matter I am just curious.

Well, scratch that idea! I called my father in law and asked him to go buy it if it was in good shape, and he knows a lot about saws, so I figured it would work out.

He called and said he was there ,and in 10 minutes he called back. The tag with the date on it was gone, and the saw was seized. The old man told him his son run a little straight gas in it to cut some brush. According to him it would be fine if you mixed the next gas in it *roll eyes here*. My father in law did say it looked fairly new. Oh well, can't win them all.

My Husky ownership is still limited to the 445 and 450's. I'll get me an XP eventually.

is there specific years that these carbs came on. I just ordered a 562xp and it is supposedly built in 2017.

Yours will be just fine. el44 and el46 where on earlier saws. I have a 2017 and 2014. 2014 has an el46 and I have not had a problem with it and that is supposed to be the worst one.
