NorthEast Tennessee Saturday MAC Report

Cool damp day in North East Tennessee. Too wet to haul and no new places to cut so being the good troopers we try to be, Brian, Lee and I ending up at the wood lot. I thought I would use my 80cc Echo that I leave at the lot, but found it had been rode hard and put up wet - literally. Covered in formerly wet sawdust, its state included a leaking fuel cap and a dull chain. So it came home for rehab. Sawless - no problem as Brian always brings enough to equip a small brigade. I ran his 1010S. I really like it, however the noise hits your ears pretty good. I was wearing some dipped cloth gloves and didn't notice the vibes much. The lack of A/V and the abundant torque made it ideal for my standard heavy handed back bar cutting. Put two tanks through it before losing the bottom screw from the falling spike. I switched over to his 805, but we couldn't get it to start. Brian graciously allowed me to cut to lunch time with the one screw short 1010S.

Only picture I have today - Brian letting his 800 eat.

I have a third 7-10A with a bad cylinder, so I plan on having 2 good ones out of this.

Ain't happening. Before you are done you will have three. I pretty much started with one 82cc MAC and a new cylinder. I can't remember how many parts saws I bought for that new cylinder. Still got the new cylinder. I now have a bunch of 82cc MACs and have had the privilege of spreading more around.

I thought at first it had just peeled could have been new parts it runs like a top BUT it does have a
oil problem to much like a constant drip haven't checked it out yet so haven't even taken cover off to
see if is adjustable. Any thoughts on what could be wrong. Thanks

Alot of times its just a blocked cap vent or tank vent , being sealed up any temperature change or gravity will cause it to seep out.

Wife just called to tell me she just left Ashville heading to Raleigh-Durham to visit her aunt and Uncle, with two Yellow saws in her pretty new Lexus. Kim did give me her Dad's Pro Mac 10-10 too. When I get it and figure out just what it is, I'll need a chain brake handle, it's missing, if anyone has an extra. I might have a pic of it on my cell.
