Thall, how much time do you have on your 372?

Oh it may have a gallon gone through it. If your gonna say wait till it breaks in it doesn't matter to me. If it speeds up or if it doesn't doesn't matter to me, I like it just fine. No stop watch man here. Don't get me wrong on the 372, I like it alot. What the boys were mainly talking about between the 441 and the 372 was how they felt in the cut, in the hand and how they are put together. Hoss felt the 441 was obviously faster in the cut and Scott and me felt they both cut pretty durn close to each other. I likem both so there won't be any hoop la out of me over either one.

How many pistols do you need - I have a few......:chainsawguy:

Naaaaaaaa that ole Hoss is a pretty good ole feller. He stops in the shop all the time and hell sometimes he takes over the work bench and says ya got anything needing repair. He has a passion for saws like I do. Thinking about giving him a key to the shop and taking me a vacation,LOL

Nope, I just wanted to know how much you've ran it, that's all. :)

Awwwwwwww ok. I saw your avatar and thought ut oh,LOL. Trust me if I didn't like that 372 I would say so. It does ok, nice running saw indeed...

540 Homelite

Heres a old saw that still runs fine and cuts fine. I bought this saw back in the 80's and gave it to Hoss a few weeks ago. This ole saw has cut a mountian of wood and still runs good today. Last of the good Homelites in my humble opinion...

That ole saw is only slighty behind a 066 Stihl in cut speed..

i'm curious to see what it's like in a few months.the guy doesn't run it enough.he bought a 5100 and we ran it about 5 minutes the day he got it.been sitting since .that was about three weeks ago.

Great pics Tom!! Its been pretty dam hot here too:D

Great pics! It is bloody hot....gotta buncha poplar rounds on the ground..guy that gave 'em to me swore they were red oak....I'll get the buggers split heat or no....

I got a 33RSC 72 chain on my 372 as well. I sure am not complaining over the smoothness of the 372. It cuts quite smooth and very well. Remember that statement comes from a man that sells and repairs Stihl for a living so the 372 is alright. I can see why its a Husky favorite....

Well like I said before if it speeds up after break in thats cool and if it remains as it is thats fine too. I got so many saws to play around it will be a long time before the 372 ever see's 5 gallons of fuel. Heck I got two Dolmars that I've had for about a year that haven't been fully broke in yet. Heck the 441 I got hasn't seen all that much fuel either. I got several saws, 10 plus, that aren't broke in fully but its no biggie to me. See when you work in a saw shop you get alot of goodies to rebuild that customers have no more interest in. To give you a idea I have a 024 like new a customer burnt up due to a cracked pulse hose. He bought a new saw and told me to keep his old one. I rebuilt the motor and that was 4 years ago. I bet I haven't ran a gallon of fuel through it because I'm always in the mist of another project. So should the 372 turn out to be a screamer thats cool but no more action than it will see it really doesn't matter. I got it two weeks ago and I just got another new project finnished up, a TS400 concrete saw, and next week I'll be on another. So the 372 is in for a very easy life for sure,LOL

Looks like a fun time!

It's hotter than hell here near Atlanta, too.

You got that right Treeco. Its been so dry uphere the grass is brittle. All brown, no green grass in site and the county is enforcing no watering the grass. Its been this way for well over a month now. We need rain some kind of bad. The landscapers that do mowing are in helluva shape. One told me if it doesn't rain soon he's gonna be bankrupt. Its that bad uphere. We get a little sprinkle now and then and thats been about it for the last month or so.

The drought has hurt all the OPE companies as well around here, sales are down bigtime. Its just too hot and too dry to do much of anything. The building outfits are loving the dry work sites but they are about the only ones liking this dry spell around here...
