Thank you for your kind comments, it is mostly just having the correct tools and beautiful wood as the canvas! I have a jig for my table saw that cuts the segments at a very precise angle for gluing up the rings that form the bowl sides. Then it is just a matter of turning it round on a lathe, sanding and an oil rubbed finish.That is beautiful.
Amazing what a person can do with the right tools - and a lot of talent.
How did you glue the pieces together? In the basic shape of a bowl and then whittle down?
Different material and tools, but reminds me a little of patchwork quilting.
