Sean, does it have the little chip in the key?

If so it’s likely a broken wire that runs the length of the ignition column. Can’t tell you how many ignition cylinders I’ve done

Google search it, very common and some nifty fixes involving resistors
The resistor fixes are for the older pass lock systems, the original owner optioned the pass key 3 system in this thing, which has been half the problem. The key has the RFID chip in the plastic part of the head, not the chip in the blade of the key. The key switch is also in the dash and not the colum. He has a new switch ordered that supposed to have the key sensor with it. I'd like to trace the wires, but I have no idea where they go.
Why do they put chips in keys??? I mean isn't the key pattern on the key itself and in the key way good enough?
To be a pain in the arse and render an otherwise good vehicle inoperable. Stupid thing won't even crank over.

Last night I was driving down the expressway and saw a green light a few miles up the rd, figured it was a snow plow, So I was keeping my eyes on it. I gained on it very fast and then I figured out it was a skid with a masticator working on the side of the rd. It was 10:40pm , never seen that before.

I wonder what happens when it hits chunk that won't split. On my hydraulic I can reposition and try again but not on that monster.
that's when i get out the gear oil and paint the wood and the wedge... haven't had one resist that kind of attention! 👍

There is a sstretch of hiway one the Coqohalla (sp) just a few miles north of the US border in BC. traveled it many time in a car and measured it one. Goes from lowlaand to high mountan plateau. 23 miles with no letup on the grade 6% & 7% and IIRC a few stretches steeper. Often wondered what that would be like on a bicycle or longboard.
should be loads of fun!

doubt it would be too dangerous...

Sounds like he was just methin' around.

Something like that.
I'm guessing he had to get a certain amount done by a certain time, and we were getting snow right after that... Not sure why he was out there, but I can't imagine those who live near would be enjoying all that ruckus at night.

I finally got some time to cut some of the Oaks. The cutting is easy with the tops off the ground, getting the wood to the truck sucks w my back all jacked up. When I got there it didn't have my safety glasses, they were in my other truck. It was ok until the wind got up and sawdust got blown in my eyes. I cut as much as I could and went back home to get my wheelbarrow cause my back was hurting even with a back brace. The WB made it better, I'd park it near the logs and load it on my knees, push the wb to tailgate and toss the logs in the bed.

Im going to have to fab a removable hitch on the skid steer for this some how. Plus I STIHL plan on using my Honda wheeler with this also fir smaller logs. This skidding arch should keep logs out of the dirt and mud a little better hopefully. Especially if I build a pup bunk fir the other end of the log fir longer turns to the landing.

and here i thot it was a spot to bring along the pets so feet wouldn't get cold in the snow... or muddy during break up!

Brother is coming over to help me split/stack all the firewood that had accumulated on my driveway. Only problem is my garden cart has a flat and I don't have an inner tube that size on hand. So we're just splitting. Had hoped to eliminate one step of handling, but that's the way it goes. New tire/tube ordered and should be here Friday. I look for tarps to cover the split wood. We have a little snow on the way and I hate to have to handle wet wood.

I actually intended on getting a tractor also one day. See here's the thing. Im not going to be trying to log an eighteen wheel log truck "OVERLOAD" 😉 a day. 5000 to 10,000 board foot a day is more like it. I mainly want the Skid for its fast loading capabilities, lifting power per hp, its tight maneuvering, and fir residential tree service work and clean up. After lots of research, advice, info, and opinions. A skid just seemed the better option. Be it track or wheel? I will never find the perfect machine. That's like trying to find the perfect rifle or the perfect boat. No such thing as either! 🤣😉
sounds like a smart investment! those usually pay for themselves in no time at all! then they become a profit center... and if lucky, a cash cow!

the residential work is going good...

i wouldn't know, but i do know you don't want to loose your next to last tractor key... 'keys made here' place won't be able to help you...

i only know why they put chips in with fried fish! :popcorn2:

'cause it's a :numberone:
