That's me lol. Only with my logic, can I justify 1000's of $ in machinery to spend a couple hours milling/turning a little aluminum part that I could've just bought for $35...and it didn't actually have to be replaced. Meanwhile, important projects remain unfinished.
You been peeking in my shop?

LOL
To add insult, the little aluminum part in my hand is an adjustable parallel to make the new Chinese index' tail stock easier to set...
So it's a tool's tool, part.
I'm just a hacker but having fun.
Even though it's under the house and had the door open to the basement woodstove, temps in the shop never got out of the 40's yesterday.

Airspace over the Carolinas shut down. Fighters in the air.
Looks like it's balloon season...
Live with commentary, lol

a waste of 2 perfectly good missiles (one missed) on a balloon that could have been easily captured intact…before it overflew sensitive sites. What a farce.

Well after chipping ice off some of this stuff I realized I’d never make it on a crab boat, lol

Nevermind, now I see. Yes it is a 5. A fella sure could skid a lot of firewood out of the woods with one of those! 👍🤣🤣

That's some beautiful country side Nate! 👍 Good on ya!

So here's the thing. Trying to decide on a towable Woodmiser LT15 or a production splitter.
I recommend you consider stepping up to the LT28....it's a whole lot more machine then the LT15, especially the log deck is way more heavy duty, plus the setup time for a mono rail mill is way faster and easier than a dual rail mill, so if you're planning to move your mill frequently it'll save you lots of time and effort.

After you buy the trailer package for the LT15 it's only about 4k more to step up the LT28

I'm on my 4th Woodmizer mill since we started in 1990, so probably you shouldn't listen to me when it comes to sawmill stuff.....

On average what diameter of logs will you be milling? and what species?

I finally got around to playing with the Pawn shop 365 special yesterday.

I knew from playing with it before i would start and idle, but only rev for about 3 seconds before tarting to bog out and die.

I decided to check the fuel filter and as soon as I popped open the cap and shown a light in the tank I knew what the issue was.

Someone put bar oil in the fuel tank.

So I drained it, rinsed it and put on a new fuel filter, and tried it. Better, but still bogging. Pulled the carb, and popped off the covers and the screen had a big hard wad blocking it. Blew it out with brake cleaner and put it all back together and now it won't even try to start, so I'm guessing I'm gonna have to put a new carb on it.

Has anyone ever seen a blue flame in their wood stove? Afraid I just burned up the secret for free gas that could have saved the world. :innocent:
Still mid 30's here, going down to 14* early Saturday morning.

Mystery solved! When I clean the ashes out I'm sure to find a melted pool of copper. Sorta forgot about a red oak that had Romex running through it and I chunked that part out. Confirmed by 2 more chunks when I filled my bucket up.

I really wanted a 416 Ruger when I bought mine but Ruger doesn'y offer a factory left hand 416 so I bought the 375. I was going to send it out and have it bored out but it just shoots too dang good.

My handloads push the 250gn Barnes 250gn TTSX at about 2850 from the 20" barrel.
