Working on this 252 and am almost ready to get it fired up. It had a bow bar On it but I’m not sure I want to run that. Curious if anyone knows of the bar plates from any of the sand cast saws will work on this? If not does anyone have a bar plate/adjuster for this for a standard straight bar.

Trying to get a bar that will fit a 5400 properly. I’m not getting good oil out to the the bar. Using a large mount Pioneer bar with stud spacers currently. The oil port looks like it’s lined up properly. The saw vomits oil with no bar so I assume it’s not lining up properly.

Oregon D176 is the correct pattern??

What are you guys running on these models?

I think there may be sone other problem. I’ll need to have a look at the IPL. Pump good with no bar but does not “seem” good with bar. I’m used to seeing oil sling off the tip and a pool on the floor if it idles in one spot. There is a little oil but adjusting the output screw makes no difference.

Possibly a bad gasket or o ring or hole in the hose to tank maybe.

If you make your own gaskets here's a pdf template attached. Print it at 100%
