After securing their latest "acquisition" early yesterday morning, Smilin' Possum & son Little Possum dropped by to pick me up and with full synthetic mix coursing through our veins we set off for South Boston, VA to meet up with two other AS members Igpoe & Stinkbait. Took about an hour and a half to arrive at Igpoe's home. There Dean greeted us and motioned us to drive around into the back yard. After getting reacquainted for a few minutes Joe & Zachary unloaded their prize, a two-man Disston Mercury DA-211.
After cleaning out the fuel tank and adding new mix, Dean set about trying to start the Mercury. BTW that's Dean with the gas can, Joe (Smilin' Possum) next, and Zachary (Little Possum) on the far right.

The saw just wouldn't have any of this running business today and after a time trying to get the carb not to flood, we set about other business... Checking out some of Dean's other saws. Amazing what you can fit in a workshop building not much bigger than a single car garage.
A bit much to take in all at one time, so I took a few pics of individual saws. Notice how some of the old Poulan saws caught my attention since that is primarily the older saws I collect.
Poulan 53 Bow Saw
Disston, obviously. Forgot the model #. Maybe Dean will help with it.
Homelite Zip on the left & Poulan 31 Bow on right. Not sure about the model of the yellow saw.
Not sure about this one.
