    Stihl 044 10mm info

    hey. I am new to the forum. I just purchased a 044 10mm. The seller claimed it has bad bearings. Is there a way of checking this without removing them and splitting the case. Also. Is the crankcase gasket the same for the 10mm and 12 mm version.

    Stihl 044 Clutch side oil seal

    Guys just picked up a 044 10mm pin chainsaw off the CL. Starting to rebuild with OEM piston, ran into a issue with the clutch side oil seal. When I pressed it into position I noticed that the lips of the seal don't fit around the shaft like other Stihls ive seen, 025, 039, ect... Do I need to...
