Finally took the plunge lastnite and muffler modded my 036.
I took it apart and drilled 3 10.5 mm holes in the front of the baffle and enlarged the accessable existing holes.
Then drilled a 16mm on the side of the removable front part and cut up a new makita strimmer scrench (16mm id) 45deg for the inside and square for the exit.
Then i MIG/MAG welded it on put it all back together, But as it was 11pm thought better of a trial run.
I tried it today i was suprised how high the idle was! Then adjusted the carb (by ear no tach yet) and went found a few beech logs
WOW it cuts way better and is'nt even that loud!
