1/2" Pitch Chisel Chain. Can I use it?

I was given a box that had 8 Loops of 1/2" pitch chisel chain in it. Can I use it on my Stihl 041? Can I still get a sprocket for it? I know the race guys like.

You'd prolly be better off selling it and buying 3/8. Is it new?

Agree, prob better off selling it and getting 3/8. Race guys also like really fat belly bars and alcohol for fuel, but that doesn't really translate into "work" saw desirability.

do you have any idea how slowly 1/2" chain would cut on a stihl 041?? That chain is wwwwaaaayyyyyy to big for it.

Do you still have it? I am restoring a Homelite 900G that uses 1/2" chin. If you old like. To sell it I can really use it.

Any word on that chain? I realize it is a thread from August 2012 but I hoped the Op was around
