I have a new 2152C and I've heard that the saw will run better with the standard muffler rather than the catyalitic one.
Is it possible to just open up the muffler and remove the catalytic part?

The catalytics muffler has some nasty stuff inside which does no good to lungs, so youd be safer just getting a non-cat muffler..

I would just get the non cat muffler, although you could chop your muffler in hafl and remove the cat then weld it back together.....

I used my dremel and cleaned the muffler out through the outlet hole on my etech muffler same as the c-muffler on the jred ,,
