That is an oddball for sure. I've never seen one. Looks sort of like the 254's more than the 264's. If it runs like a 264 you have a good saw. I have a couple 264's and they'll chug right along with a 365 /2065 Husky Jonsered. That's a good find.

I'd guess it predates the 264f...
Some strong similarities in the recoil and clutch cover to the 460a, though the top cover and rear handle have some cosmetic resemblance to the 264f. Muffler looks just like 264f.

Does it have any antivibe?
Maybe a 'farmsaw' type model?

Possibly someone used a cutoff saw recoil on a 264?

I have a well worn 264F that pumps 170, runs great but turd head previous owner lost the air filter and air filter cover.
The 265 was available in Europe ( France anyway) years back I have never seen an" Olympic" they were always badged Oleo Mac

Just adding a few pictures of 265 Olympyk I have. Fairly sure this one is 1984 or 85 model. Not sure how many of these local dealer here sold, but know of 2 others beside this one that was sold from same dealership. All 3 are working saws to date. This saw came with 20" 3/8 .058 Sandvik bar. Good fast saw that runs great with the 20" bar buried in hardwood. Plan to get saw out tomorrow and add some pictures of it outside in some better light.
