3120 mufler heat shield ?

on a 3120 is there a heat sheild between the muffler and cyl like all the other husky's have? the saw i just recieved had the muffler bolted right to the cyl no heat sheild no gasket. i looked up the ipl...it showed a gasket, but no heat sheild. if there is one...where can i get a part #?

The part # is 5063 414 01,from 3120 K model.

The heat shield helps..though like you say, some saws have them, some don't..just make one up - to fit reasonably close to the cylinder block fins, logic would suggest to keep the air flow from the mag fan as high as possible past the exh port (can't hurt)..yea and use a gaskit to avoid hot exh blow torching any bits around & to help stop the heat soaking back from the muffler to the engine..it all helps
