340 to 346xp wanna be convertion??????

i was talking to a guy today about saws and he said that he got his 345 up to 346xp performance. do i believe him, well no of coarse but i have a 340 and maybe i could do some performance enhancing on it. i was thinking that it would be all in the carb and maybe a little bit of a muffler mod. Any ideas?

not too sure but I think your looking at different cylinders/porting
