371xp opinions ?

I see a lot of interest in 372xp's, I have a shot at a 371xp. Is there there any good or bad things about the 371 ?

I have one. Bought it new in 1999. I used it like a rented mule the first five years. It ate everything I asked it to. Got lazy after I got a 357xp and only use the 371xp for felling and bucking bigger stuff. Its a great saw and I have had zero issues with it. I think the only difference between it and the 372 is the amount of piston rings. I am no pro just a firewood cutter for myself and mother. I cut mostly hedge (osage orange) so if a saw has no guts it will show it quickly. The 371 is a solid chainsaw.

well running is one thing but what shape it,s in is another, but yes my main go to saw is my ported xpg
