I have a hi-top 372xp (OE) that I have listed locally.
Before I owned it it had taken a tree strike and bent the handle, broke the brake flag, crushed the muffler, and cracked a small (cosmetic) chunk out of the case. It's all fixed. OEM handle, AM brake flag, and Muffler from "the duke." I welded the case and smoothed it out but didn't polish and paint, as it's an imperfect saw and I didn't think the smoothing and painting were worth it to myself.
Runs well. I didn't take the cylinder off, but there is no play in the crank bearings in any direction. It doesn't leak oil. Starts, runs, and oils like it should. 4 Strokes out of the cut like it should. You can see the piston still has machining marks when viewed through the exhaust port.
The flywheel cover has had a 2 of the screws tapped larger, but the holes are in good shape and the bolts tighten like they should. I thought about keeping this one rather than 'my' 372, as this one has better color plastic and the piston looks newer, but mine has been modded, and this one is stock as far as I can tell. PM for more if you're interested.
Thanks,
Phill
