372xp rpm setting?

bought a 372xp used in good shape, but no book on it. was wondering what the book says to set the rpm's at?

Don't have a book for the 372, but in the Chain Saw Service Manual 10th Edition, it lists the 272 as having a max RPM of 12,500. It doesn't list an idle rpm

You will like the sa wmuch better if you muffler mod it and run it about 13,800. Keep it under 14k though.

it has already been ported and muffler modded since I made the last post. It rips now. Guess I can't leave well enough alone.
