my 4 saw Stihl plan:

200T, 026 Pro, 440, 084AV took me about 6 months to put together. First was the 084, had to jump on that deal. The 026 and 440 i got the same week I think. and lastly the 200t. I have not touched my 290 farmboss since getting the 026 :)

All four saws for less than $1000 combined, watching craigslist everyday and waiting for deals to pop up.

I agree with having some redundancy... i can limb with a 440 if I need to if my buddies are using the two smaller saws. Likewise the 440 can do some larger bucking if the 084 is already tied up doing something.

A 660 would certainly suffice for 95% of what I do, but it is nice to have that extra power there for that occasional BIG job!

Do you really need a 261 when you have a 361 and a 200t?
Right now I got a 020t once I get it running good with a 14" bar and a 361 with a 20". If I get me a 044/440 I should be set.
I know the 361 is a tweener but I like it and cant bring myself to sell it. 361 was my first new saw also that my dad paid half on for a bday gift.
To me a good stihl saw is hard to sell even if you dont use it a lot.

i have a 026pro ,036 pro ,ms440 and ms660 ,honestly the smaller saws collect dust and i grab the 440 most of time its little heavier than the 36 but cuts so much faster, i work less because production is faster ,on 24-40 inch logs brake out the 660 for the extra power
