550Xp Xfer port leak

I have a 550Xp with a xfer port leak. How are people fixing this since you cant a new gasket?
Builders pls jump in.

I would think you could seal it with a gasket maker like motoseal?

Was thinking the same, but was hoping someone knows how to get the gasket. I called the help line and the folks im reaching are not technical in the slightest.

The gasket ( o ring )is not available separately . Use someting like 3 bond 1194 and the old o ring to seal the cover .

Was thinking Ptex red hi temp due to the gas/oil and heat. What's a chainsaw cylinder get up to when running hard by the way? 1194 looks like its good up to about 150C and Ptex will stay stable up to about 343C.

I would think the transfers would be a cooler area of the cylinder due to evaporational cooling. 1194 is good stuff but hard to find outside of the interwebs IME. Motoseal is also good and much easier to find.
