Well, picked up some saws, guy with tree service going out of business. Picked up a Husqvarna 55 a few weeks ago. Said he had a Rancher 455, needs a carb, with same bar and asked if I wanted it with some chains. Yep, so for $60, extra new 20" bar, hardcase, few homelites, and a beast of a saw, Sears David Bradley that needs some major cleaning.

Must have missed pic of Husky 455. Really clean. Whats good place to look for a carb?

The Bradley was running. Guy must have cut lots of railroad ties before. It is thick and nasty. Pulls fairly easily for big saw. Chain is pretty bad. Not sure if want to try to get it running.

Yeah that 12 is about the only one of the Homelites that may look like run. Not locked up and complete with newer bar.

Someone here will have a carb or screws,
That looks like a d176 mount bar that fits bigger poulan and echoes and snacks
It's a banana bar an early attempt at low kickback.... only one oil hole has to run
With the bend up to have oil hole and adjuster hole in the right positions

You talking about the 455? He said the low side screw is bent, not sure if one of his guys tried messing with it and screwed it up. Will look into it....
Get the numbers off it and hit EBay.
I replaced a carb on a 460 rancher.
Got a good used carb for $25 that I ended not needing.
Sold the saw and all the parts once I got the piston ring unstuck.

Well, I jerked the carb off and got the low side screw bent as straight as I could. Blew out all the crap. Put back together and can't quit get it to idle. I may need to read some tutorial on tuning. But, cleaned everything up and it runs better than it did. May have a buddy come and tune it.

The David Bradley has a hole in side of piston. I thought there was not much compression when I pulled it. So, got a wall hanger.
