801 no spark

hey just bought an 801 and it has no spark point are opening and closing but the wire that goes to coil from the points is going to ground. is there a way to test the coil, mag, etc and what is the correct point setting new to the site so bear with the supid questions please!! lso do the standard husky jonny bars fit this model?? thanks walt

Ignition problem

Walt , you should be able to look up the point gap on acresinternet.com . I don't understand why the wire from the pionts to the coil is going to ground other than maybe it's pinched under the coil .
