Working with a soil analysis from an eastern National Historic Site that's losing a couple of Lebanese cedars, decreasing the pH is a primary concern, I think some dissolved salts and some residual phenoxy build-up is also a problem.
The site manager asked how to remediate the problem so I mentioned a method that worked at the White House - here pictured right outside the Oval Office. Down a few beers (courtesy of the oocupant), eat some tamales with mucho pecante sauce, then go and treat the soil around the tree. Repeat four times throughout the evening and by morning (if Secret Service hasn't contained you) the imbalance should be resolved.
I didn't bill for services, thought to chalk it up as doing my duty.
