I have a Dracina Marginata (pardon if the spelling is incorrect), potted, that is about 2 1/2-3 feet tall. The plant has been very healthy during the two years that I have had it: kept indoors, indirect sunlight.

Here's my problem: I currently live in northern Florida, but I am moving to southern New Hampshire in June. I want to bring the Dracina Marginata with me, but I am afraid the cold weather will eventually kill it.

Does anyone know if bringing my tree up north is a bad idea? Any advice on proper care of it if I bring it up north?

We have several Dracina and they thrive in our house here in WI. (As long as the cat does not mistake it for a chew toy, but that is one of the reasons we have several).

Just keep it out of drafty areas in the winter, to include sitting right next to large windows.

And remember to budjet you for a few pair of long underwear for yourself.
