I want to check the angles on the NT Grinder for accuracy. How would I go about doing that? A normal protractor is too large. I know someone else on here has marked theirs for the correct angles, but how do you measure them?

I don't have a chain grinder but i use one of these to setup my machines.

My suggestion would be to bung it on the top of the chain clamp and set zero. As the gauge is magnetic i'd suggest you take an offcut of sheet steel and drill a hole to match the spindle size. Hand tighten onto the grinder, attach gauge and your set

Usual disclaimer - i'm not associated to wixey, just a happy customer.

I do not sweat one or two degrees.

My NTG has done a lot of sharpenings and no one has complained. Just try to keep the teeth length as close to the same from right to left and go on about it.
