Bald cypress help

Several new bald cypress trees planted last year. Lost two already, pretty sure I didn't water well enough. Leaves on tree turned brown despite adequate watering. Here is a picture of current status. Any thoughts? diseases? no pests are evident. Thanks for any and all help.
 
Mine is fifteen years old(at least) and does that every year. Usually I notice poison Ivy attacking it and cut that out. You may need to mulch it to conserve water. I think drought hits them, but I think you'll be fine as long as the tips of the branches stay green.

yes do not give up on them if you can scratch the bark and see green inside.

See the link below for Buying and Planting information. If they got buried they should be exhumed this fall and planted properly.
 
Thumbnail scratch

If tree is green under bark it has a "vibrant core". For those unfamiliar with this term rent or buy Ron Whites "You Cant Fix Stupid". Its fricken hilarious.
