Blue spruce trees

Can a cutting from a blue spruce tree be made to root? How is the cutting taken? and how is it prepared for rooting? Can this tree be grown successfully in Florida. Are there any watchouts?

They graft Colorado spruce, and do clonal propigation. I understand the failure rate is high in the latter.

I'm sure it will grow in FLA, but I think it would be short lived. They are cool weather montain plants. Don't do well as a whole here in S/E WI. Prone to alot of pest and disease problems like fungis, mites, adelgid...
