Bug questions

Splitting some mesquite today and there are tons of bores. Does anyone have a fix to keep them either dead where they are or very near the wood pile. I don't want the little buggers in my pecan trees. What could I spray the wood with and not die while burning it.

I have never heard of anything you can spray on wood insects that wont affect you. Just burn it. Dont carry anymore wood inside than you can burn in a couple of hours. Dont try spraying your firewood with anything, you will end up sick or dead. Fire will burn the bugs as well as the wood.
