Greetings all,
We are a large condo complex and we have two trees that look like they are dying. The Arborist advised us the trees most likely have Botrytis and Anthracnose diseases and that it would be best if they were removed so the disease does not spread to the other trees. The trees have been in the complex for over 50 years. We would like to use the trunks of the trees for mulch in our landscaping project. Can we use this fresh bark around the shrubs and perennials? Any do's and don'ts?
I'm reading various websites and they state it might cause a nitrogen deficiency in the soil.
