The townhouse complex where I live and serve on the landcape committee has some 50 Canary Island Pines which we have irrigated year-round because the landscaping underneath requires it. At an age of about 40 years many of these trees are over 90' tall.
Can they still thrive if we change over to more drought-resistant landscaping and cut back substatially on water?
