I was looking to buy a new grinder a 4012 or 2100 bandit.
Is there much difference in these machines? Also what options are best.
Now Im using a 182 vermeer so anything is going to be a huge improvment.
Thanks

Heres the facts

Carlton camefirst

bandit made a vary bad copy of the early 4012.
Carlton gives, telescopic tounge as standard
much better hydraulic system half as many hoses, a better finish
better ground clearance, much easer maintance and have been at the grinder market since 1952.
Carltons sandvik cutter wheel will out perform the bandit by upto 25% better cut and also 40% better wear costs and running costs on teeth.
The Carlton fitted with the Sandvik will also not throw material around like finger teeth and make site clear up so much easyer.

hope this helps.

Has Anone Heard Anything About The New Engine Option On The 4012, The Kubota Diesel? Any Info Would Be Awsome.

IMO without having used either machine, carlton has been making grinders for a long time with a great reputation. Bandit has been making chippers and other equipment for a long time with a great reputation. However, Bandit just started making grinders a few years ago. Go with the Carlton.
