Central boiler classic edge question

I have a classic edge 350. It’s my first winter running it. I noticed today when I check the water level it was 3/4 up the fill tube. When I unplugged the pump it returned to somewhat normal. Is that normal? I wouldn’t think the water level would fluctuate at all since it’s just pumping water in a continuous loop.

There will be less pressure on the suction side of a circ then the output side.

I dont know where your fill tube is hooked to or comes out of.

My 550 is the same. I check it with no flow.
