Chainsaw modding

I am wanting to learn how to do woods porting and was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction as far as step by step instructions on how to do it. I have a couple of older saws to play around with and I have an idea as to whats involved but would like some kind of step by step I can look at and learn from. Any help would be appreciated.
