Do any of you flush your heat exchanger coils?
I've had a Hardy boiler for about 9 years and am wondering if I should flush the lines and heat radiator out with Muriatic acid or something. It seems to have lost effiency.
It takes on fresh water from time to time and we have a lot of calcium, lime etc in the water.
I have to flush the hot water lines out once a year because we see a noticeable loss of hot water. I have a major improvement as soon as I clean the lines.
I have a pump and a tank and I mix a fairly mild muriatic acid solution and run it through the boiler.
Have been afraid to put in the heating coil side though.
