Climate Change - Pine Beatles / Tree Stress due to Heat

Read stuff like above and gets me wondering. My BIL has been battling more death from beetles as they migrate North.

Have you noticed any signs of issue from weather pattern changes?

Yes
North Idaho is typically very moderate thru the year.
However the last 4 years we are having long dry spells in the summer - and mature pine trees and Doug firs at the 2000 to 2500 ft elevation are suffering the most. Top die off and complete trees dying- more than I ever remember seeing.
