How's this for a $50 early morning deal? I called at 8:25 am and had it in the truck by 10:15 am. It seems to be in excellent shape. All sheet metal intact and just missing one bar handle bolt and the choke nob. Has tons on compression but I can't run it till Saturday cause I'm going small mouth bass fishing tomorrow. Can't Stop The Smile!:) :) :) :) :)

Thanks Pablo! I didn't mention that the bar is a 48" true roller tip. The chain looks like a very well used 404 but I'll know more by this time saturday.....Bob

YEP They are a beast

Im working on a XP1100 just scored a bar. Now on to the drive sprocket and then some fresh .404.
Wish I only had $50 invested in mine. Good luck with yours hope the tank is cleaner than mine was.:) Be sure to check the gear box oil before you run yours.
I had a bolt backed out of one of the drive gears. If I would have run it without opening the box I could have had a pile of junk.
From what I gather 80-90 gear oil will work.

Looks like a weapon of midevil destruction.

By the way, is the gas tank steel or aluminum? Or magnesium alloy?

I like the specification that says "operating rpm 6000 - 6500"

Nice score! I love Craigslist!! Especialy the FREE section!!!

XP1100 Update

It's Alive! Today I removed the bar & chain (36" and a .404 rather than a 48 as advertised) and proceeded to check out the old beast. After removing the cover and air cleaner I dribbled some mix into the carb and It came to life in a few pulls. The tank (mag.) was clean inside and the gear box was full of oil so I went ahead and added mix to the tank and started it. The idle mixture needed some adjustment but once warmed up it idled and ran well. A compression test came in at 140lbs. and a through the exhaust cylinder/piston check showed them to be exceptionally clean and without scratches. With it needing only a bolt for the handle, a screw for the pull start, a choke nob and a good 36" .404 chain to be complete the GRIN IS GROWING!:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:
