Cranks and Jugs

Ok I've posted in the modded worksaw area, but I noticed more people are here.
First off. How are you guys mounting the jugs on the lathe or mill? and if on a lathe how are you holding the tail stock?
Next. Has any one rebuilt cranks for 044-066 or similar sized cranks or made full circle cranks for these saws?
I have other ideas if I can rebuild a crank. I wouldn't do it unless I think I can improve upon.
