Cylinder welding?

I'd try JB weld, seriously. But if you try it and it breaks again, forget about welding it. You'll never get the JB off enough to weld it.

That's a tough one to weld and get full penetration. You'd need to "V" it down along the entire crack, more so on the thicker part. Then there's the machine work afterwards.

What mm is that bore?

If any of you guys want to donate a jug with the corner broken off .............. I might not get to it for a little while, but I would be willing to try to TIG it.
No guarantees though, the cylinder must be considered as toast and a lost cause, and machining would have to be done IF it were repaired well enough to consider running it.
