Anyone give me some advantages to buying chainsaws from dealers as opposed to Lowe's/Home Depot/etc.?? Do they run differently? I'm looking to spend 150-250 on a firewood cutting saw (3-4 cords/year) any recommendations?? I plan to use my Homelite XL and Homelite XL-113 saws as back ups. Right way to go or should I just dump some money into getting the 2 I have tuned up?? Thanks for all the assistance, ya'll have been great thus far!!

You should post in the Chainsaw forum. The biggest and most important difference is service. You will (should) get better long term service from a dealer. Supporting small businesses is also a plus.
