I'm trying to find information in reference to a condition that impacts trees in the Southern California area known as "Summer Drop Syndrome". I would appreciate any assistance.

The best postulation I've heard is that it is drought related. The ray cells cannot hold the fibers together even though there is enough water to keep the leaves from wilting. No hard data about it so I would not call it a thoery yet, maybe a Scientific Wild Assed Guess (SWAG)
