I am working on an echo 440 EVL for a friend and need help locating a CDI ignition module, part #15660114530. Everywhere I look says it is no longer available. Does anyone know where I can get one or if there is a substitute that will work?

I believe parts will be hard to find, perhaps you can find a doner saw or parts from another model that uses the same module. I am not familiar with this particular model saw, but I believe they have a separate coil and trigger mechanism. If so and if the coil is good but the trigger mechanism is bad you could possible replace the trigger mechanism with an electronic transistorized module (nova, atom, kawasaki), but you may need to change the flywheel timing or swap the flywheel out with one that was made to work with a points system (non evl model). Maybe someone on this list has tried this with the 440EVL. Here are a couple related links. Good-luck.
