The new efco mt 6500 is on efco web site. good looking saw but there weight number is terrible. Hope that is a misprint.

I did a general search and I have found different weight numbers on the net. So I guess we just need one to weigh in person.

Won't be supprised to see the comments about too heavy for it's power soon... Although wait it's not a 60cc saw but a 64cc saw... Oh well will probably be ignored anyway...

I also have been wandering around search engines. It has an aluminum case, two spring and four rubber anti vibe. Inboard clutch. It is 63.4cc which rounds off to 63 using conventional techniques, the Dolmar "60cc" is a bit more as well. Something about 65cc and chain testing rules I think in this market. When I find an ipb for it will be able to tell if the crank is stuffed. I have yet to even find the bore and stroke.

Full production of the MT 6500 chainsaw begins in early 2015 with product arrival at the efco dealers slated for March. - See more at: http://www.totallandscapecare.com/efco-power-equipment/#sthash.3tA97LQJ.dpuf

Updated version of the 165 to meet current emissions standards. It will probably match the 165 for power and torque. If it's like it's predecessor, damn good saw. I've got a 165, 156, 152 and 132s and love them.

No offense intended but you obviously don't know alot about Efco.

Efco = Oleo Mac

Efco MT6500 = Oleo Mac GS 650 same saw differnt color, different stickers.

The saw has been on the market already in other parts of the world since last year. There are a few nice videos of a guy, since I donot understand him I assume from a spanish speaking country, teaching people to use a saw on you tube.

Here's a vid about it's potential. Won't comment on his cutting technique, but that is a nice size tree he is cutting!

There was a test in germany last year in a german forum, with the clear result, not as refined as the big two players. Too bad! I was hoping for more after my experience with my 162. But still with the typical Efco/Oleo Mac character "italien bull" (= unstoppable) instead of "stalion" (= screaming saw with no power).

I think you are being offensive.
I have four efco devices the 53cc brush cutter being my favorite.
I did find that GS650 but the owners manual wasn't available even in Italian at http://www.myoleo-mac.com/RicercaManuali.jsp?idMarchio=1
It is the only thing they class as a heavy duty chainsaw
Chances are it has the same bore and stroke as the 165 as the displacement is exactly the same

Not sure if I want to update my flash player videos seem to have ceased functioning.

Well if you don't update your flash player you won't see the vids. I just updated yesterday.

I also have 3 Oleo Mac chainsaws! I have a gs 260, gs350 and gs 962.

Maybe you can make a vid and post it here from your equipment. I have made vids of my stuff and posted here.

Didn't even know that it is possible to upload a photo much less a vid anymore.

I just link to outside providers like the tube or the bucket.
