Here the other day our log trucks got to the Weyerhaeuser mill we work for and found about 8 trucks loaded with euculiptus logs they brought up from Uruguay, you know South America , they are going to cut ply blocks out of them to see if its better than our pine, but what if they are, that would be abit costly, even if they got them for free wouldn't it, big business does strange things just to make a buck.

I got a call a few yrs. back from a mill & wanted Euc wood . They told me they needed it for white cardboard. Dont know if its true . But they were not ready to pay much. Euc firewood prices were very good in these parts. At that time.

I used to cut euc for chips in the late 70s we were taking them to the port in Sacramento there on the river , think the outfit war International fiber, they was selling them to the Japanese for card board.

could of been the same people. I know it was in northern Cal. I just thought it was close to humbolt county. Where most of all the mary jane comes from.
